Draws inspiration from the Past to Produce the Future

Saltdogs

I’ve determined that I will only be doing one or two more updates and a final review due to the length of time I have left at the internship.

Good News

In my last post, I had mentioned that there were technology issues surrounding the availability of the video I had directed. We managed to figure out what those were and I now have the video to show. I admit that I was a bit zealous when switching between cameras and that the quality just isn’t that good at the beginning. I know that my directing does need to improve and I am working on it. I believe that just in this video, especially as I got more comfortable, the directing improves. Everything improves with practice. In any event look for it soon on the video page.

Speaking of camera work

Recently the video crew was short workers during a three game homestand. Each day needed one of the interns to work a camera. I decided to work camera three as it was different from the one mentioned in my last post (camera one). Working camera for a game was refreshing from my normal duties as a video production intern. For one I was outside the whole game. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been – it was only 100 degrees that day and it was an evening game; thankfully the humidity that Nebraska is known for was nonexistent. You can see some of my work in the highlight reel.

Suprise in the works

During this break, I have been working on a short promo/ad for one of the reoccurring events at the ball park. It is called Bark at the Park, basically, the fans can bring their dogs and enjoy the baseball game. I will be showing it to my boss the next time I see him and let everyone know what happens. If anything it games more experience working with Illustrator, Premier Pro and After Effects.
