Draws inspiration from the Past to Produce the Future

Iowa Public Television

Pictured above are some photos from the different shoots I was able to help with for Iowa Public Television. The first picture is the Studio Camera, this is where I spent most of my time helping with the shows Iowa Press and Market to Market. The Next photo and the four-wheeler at the bottom come from my Sidney, Iowa shoot. I went on a remote to help shoot the biggest rodeo in Iowa for an episode of Greetings from Iowa. That was one of the best shoots I worked on. It showed me what these jobs could offer and allowed me to work on my DSLR video skills. Then the middle three are all from my last three days as an intern with Iowa Public Television. I went out with a bang in helping with the Iowa State Fair pieces – Mutton Busting (which has some shots from me), Sale of Champions, and the Bill Riley Talent Show.

As for my other job, this summer, I managed to get way farther into the President’s Papers than was expected. I will be continuing the papers when I return to School.

In the End

All in all my internship with Iowa Public Television and my Job at the Drake University Archives, both allowed for me to hone my skills, learn new ones, and really experience parts of these jobs that I haven’t gotten to. I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to see what the next adventure is.
