Draws inspiration from the Past to Produce the Future

It’s Been a While:

I was working on getting my new website up and running. If you’ve made it here then you are at the new website. If you’ve been on my website before then you’ll find it pretty similar however this is my own. And it may still be under construction and things may still be moved around however this will all be for the benefit of whoever is coming to this website.

Internship Update:

On to my update about my social media internship for HNN. I am now past the 12-week range, in other words, almost three months have gone by since I started this. I can honestly say that this past week was my best. My numbers were through the roof, the best I’ve ever had, since starting.

Best Tweet ~ Coincidentally my first tweet this week

This tweet leads to the article: What Would the Founding Fathers Make of Originalism?  Seemingly spurred byPresident Trump’s nomination of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, it explored the arguments between the founding fathers. In specific, Hamilton, Jefferson, and Madison, as to the founding of the national banking system as well as a style of government. The article concludes that it is impossible to ascribe a single original intent. Ending with:

“It is in Madison’s essays written in the early 1790s that we find the richest resonance of his powerful statement at the Constitutional Convention: “In framing a system which we wish to last for the ages, we should not lose sight of the changes which ages will produce.””

Perhaps, it is a way of telling us, 21st-century folk, that we should be paying attention to our own problems and trying to fix them. The constitution was made to be a system flexible enough to last, at least according to Madison.
