As I made my report for this week I realized that having a lot of impressions with tweets is good, it means people are seeing the tweet, but having a lot of engagement and a higher engagement rate is better. At least in terms of what my goal is. I am trying to drive traffic to HNN’s website.
What the engagement on a tweet means is the total number of times a user interacted with the tweet. This includes all clicks on the tweet, likes, retweets, replies, and follows.
It is interesting to see what people do and how they react to certain content. Recently I have begun to add the #twitterstorians so we’ll see how that does in terms of boosting my numbers.
