Draws inspiration from the Past to Produce the Future

This is a little life update. Actually, quite a lot has happened since I graduated in May. Or rather it feels like quite a lot has happened. I’ve got a lot of irons in the fire and a busy schedule but I do like what is going on.

I have acquired two part-time jobs, one as the Archivist/Docent at the National Museum of Roller Skating in Lincoln, NE. The other as the Grant Management Specialist at Humanities Nebraska. Both are such interesting opportunities that are really allowing for me to grow as a professional and hone my skills as an archivist.

I have also started a second Master’s at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This one will be a Master’s of Science in Library and Information Sciences. I’m quite excited about it as I know it is already challenging me to think through my duties at the NMRS in new lights. Though it is quite different to be doing a completely online degree.

Still keep an eye out for some book reviews and musings as the year goes on.
